Objective: to introduce students to the basic concepts and techniques of working in analytical psychotherapy with children and adolescents.

- the main methods of work of a child analytical psychotherapist with children and adolescents;

- gain experience in psychoanalytic supervision of their own psychological work with children and adolescents.

Part I. Basic theories of child psychoanalysis.
Historical roots of the emergence and development of child psychotherapy. Z.Freud's contribution. Discussion A. Freud and M. Klein. Periodization of child development. Different approaches to the conduct and goals of pediatric therapy. Theory of protective mechanisms.
M. Klein's contribution to the development of child psychotherapy. Theory of object relations. Stages of development of object relations. Protective mechanisms. Concepts of projection and projective identification. Triangulation. Conditions and mechanisms of triangulation.
Basic theories of modern child analytic therapy. Theories of D. Winnicott and W. Bion. Holding. Containerization. The concept and types of attachment.
Attachment theory. Types of attachment. Formation of affection
Part II. Technique of child psychotherapy.
Playing, drawing and fantasizing in child psychotherapy. Features of using the game and drawing of the child as a tool for psychotherapy. Interpretation.
The concept of transference and countertransference as the main tools of unconscious communication in child psychotherapy. The concepts of "transference", "countertransference", their development in psychoanalysis. Work with various types of transfer. Types of countertransference. Features of countertransference in work with children and adolescents.
